Safaricom has expanded its Family Share plan to Home Fibre customers in Kisumu, allowing households to share mobile data or voice minutes with up to five family members.

The service combines fixed home internet with mobile connectivity, with packages starting at KSh3,749.

Customers subscribing to the package receive home internet speeds of 40Mbps alongside either 14GB of mobile data or 750 voice minutes for sharing with selected family members.

Safaricom Chief Consumer Business Officer Fawzia Ali said the expansion would give customers greater convenience and value by bringing home and mobile connectivity together under one package.

The Kisumu rollout follows the introduction of the service in Nairobi last week as the telecommunications company begins expanding the offering to other parts of the country.

The plan is designed to allow households to manage their connectivity needs through a shared package rather than relying on separate mobile and home internet subscriptions.
