Detectives have arrested two suspects in connection with a fatal robbery and a separate stabbing incident reported in Lindi, Kibra, Nairobi County.

The incidents occurred on the morning of October 23, 2026, leaving one man dead and another injured in separate attacks as they headed to work.

In the first incident, 49-year-old Jacob Odhiambo Alube was stabbed in the chest and left thigh after allegedly resisting a robbery. The assailants reportedly stole his valuables, including his mobile phone, before fleeing the scene.

Police officers who responded found Alube’s body at the scene, while Crime Scene Investigation personnel processed the area. His body was later moved to Nairobi Funeral Home pending a post-mortem examination.

In a separate attack that morning, 58-year-old Juma Jared was stabbed several times by two assailants. He sustained injuries to his upper left arm, the left side of his chest and lower left back.

Good Samaritans rushed Jared to Mbagathi Hospital before he was referred to Kenyatta National Hospital for further treatment. He was reported to be in fair and stable condition. Nothing was stolen from him during the attack.

Detectives launched investigations into the two incidents and later arrested Abdizar Suleiman and Stephen Litari Hussein during an intelligence-led operation in the Kingstone area of Lindi, Kibra.

The suspects remain in custody as detectives process them ahead of their expected arraignment in court.
