The Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF) is holding its 15th edition in Lagos, Nigeria, from November 1 to 7, bringing together filmmakers and other professionals in the film and cultural industries.
This year’s festival is themed Frames of the Future: Africa’s Creative Intelligence and is expected to spotlight African storytelling, filmmaking and the industry’s international reach.
The festival has also announced an international jury comprising 10 professionals drawn from filmmaking, production, criticism, research, performance and entertainment strategy.
Zimbabwean-born film curator and programmer Keith Shiri has joined the festival as its programmer and jury coordinator.
AFRIFF provides a platform for African filmmakers to showcase their work, engage with industry professionals and explore opportunities for collaboration and distribution.
The 2026 edition comes as African film industries continue to seek wider audiences and stronger distribution opportunities beyond the continent.
