Charlene Ruto, daughter of President William Ruto, has shared moments from her bridal shower as preparations for her wedding to Tanzanian entrepreneur Isaya Yunge gather pace.
Charlene posted photographs from the celebration on Tuesday, November 3, giving her followers a glimpse of the gathering attended by close friends and family.
The event featured a garden-themed setting decorated with flowers, pink accents and warm lighting. Charlene wore a white bridal outfit, while her guests, including her sister Stephanie Jepchumba, turned up in outfits dominated by shades of pink.
A welcome sign bearing her name stood at the entrance, while specially designed cakes carried messages including “Miss Babe to Mrs Babe” and “Hey Mrs Yunge”.
Sharing the photographs, Charlene expressed gratitude to the women who have supported her over the years, describing their presence as meaningful as she prepares to begin married life.
She also highlighted the role of her Christian faith in the next chapter, saying she hoped Christ would remain the foundation of her marriage.
The bridal shower comes nearly three months after Charlene and Yunge held their traditional Kalenjin engagement ceremony, known as Koito, on August 8 at Intonna Heritage Farm in Kilgoris, Narok County.
Yunge, a technology entrepreneur from Tanzania, is expected to marry Charlene in a white wedding. However, the couple have not publicly announced all the details of the ceremony.
The celebrations have also attracted attention across the border, with Tanzanian social media users welcoming Charlene ahead of her anticipated move into the Yunge family.
