The High Court will deliver its ruling on the bail applications of seven people charged with the murder of Dr Victoria Nthunya Mutiso on December 3, 2026.
The ruling date was set after the Probation Department informed the court that pre-bail reports for the accused persons were not ready.
A probation officer told the court that the department had sent inquiries to Machakos, Bomet and Baringo counties to collect social background information required to prepare comprehensive reports.
The officer said some victims had already been interviewed and inquiries involving police officers completed, but feedback on the accused persons’ communities was still pending.
The department requested two weeks to finalise the reports.
The court emphasised that the probation reports were important in determining whether the accused persons should be released on bail and directed the department to avoid further delays.
The Probation Department was ordered to file reports for all seven accused persons by November 16, 2026.
The seven accused, including Rose Mulwa, Angela Mulwa and Chris Mulwa, are facing murder charges over the killing of Dr Mutiso on July 29, 2026, along Mawensi Road in Kilimani, Nairobi.
