Nairobi County official Geoffrey Mosiria has congratulated Kenyan-born politician Huldah Momanyi-Hiltsley following her re-election to the Minnesota House of Representatives in the United States.
In a message shared on X, Mosiria celebrated Momanyi-Hiltsley’s victory in District 38A, where she secured a second term after winning approximately 72 per cent of the vote.
He described the win as a reflection of the confidence voters had placed in her leadership, adding that it demonstrated how leaders who work hard and deliver results could earn public trust.
Mosiria also said Momanyi-Hiltsley had made Kenya proud by putting the country on the international map.
He jokingly linked her victory to his own political ambitions in Nairobi, saying residents would have an opportunity next year to elect him as a leader who works rather than a politician.
“Nakuja Minnesota!” he added, expressing his intention to visit the United States to celebrate her victory.
Momanyi-Hiltsley’s re-election marks another milestone in her political career, having first been elected to the Minnesota House in 2024.
