Mugithi musician Samidoh received a lively birthday celebration after meeting a group of women and grandmothers in Nyandarua on Sunday, November 1.

The chance encounter turned into an impromptu celebration as the women gathered around the musician, singing his songs, dancing and chanting in his support.

Videos and photographs shared on social media showed Samidoh joining the group in the dancing, with participants taking turns to showcase their moves.

The gathering also took on a political tone, with some of the women chanting in support of his reported ambition to vie for the Ol Jorok parliamentary seat.

They adapted his popular song, “Wendo Wa Ihèra,” into a campaign-style chant, with the musician joining in as the group sang.

Samidoh later marked his birthday on Facebook, thanking God for another year of life and expressing appreciation to fans and well-wishers who sent him messages.

The musician’s birthday fell on Sunday, November 1, 2026.
